FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Everything you need to know before booking a shoot.
BOOKING & SCHEDULING
-
Book online at portal.garrettstoffel.com. Choose your property type, enter the address and square footage, select your services, then pick a date and time.
-
We schedule shoots during standard business hours, Monday through Friday. Weekend appointments are sometimes available, but openings are limited and a weekend premium applies. Book early if you need a weekend slot.
-
The times shown online are our open slots, but we sometimes have availability beyond what is listed. If the time you need is not available, text us at 949-371-6430 and we will do our best to fit you in.
-
The length of the shoot depends on the services ordered. For listing photos only, most shoots are around 30-60 minutes, but may take up to four hours if ordering premium services, or multiple services. When you select your services at portal.garrettstoffel.com, you will be asked to book the shoot. The time slots provided there are very close to accurate for how long the shoot will take for all selected services.
-
We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations made inside 24 hours may be subject to a fee.
SERVICE AREA & TRAVEL
-
We serve all of Orange County and neighboring counties. There is no travel fee within about 35 miles of our Laguna Hills base. Beyond that, a travel fee applies based on distance. To see the exact rate for your property, start an order at portal.garrettstoffel.com and continue through to the booking step. Any travel fee will be shown before you confirm.
TURNAROUND
-
Turnaround depends on the service. The estimated delivery time is listed next to each service when you select it at portal.garrettstoffel.com, so you will know what to expect before you book.
-
Many photo-only orders are delivered the same day as the shoot, and often within a few hours. Video, 3D tours, and other add-ons take longer, so the estimated delivery time shown next to each service is the one to plan around.
PRICING & PACKAGES
-
Shoots are priced based on the square footage of the property, the services booked, and/or the spaces we are focused on capturing. Current rates are always shown at portal.garrettstoffel.com. Enter your address and square footage to see pricing for your property.
-
Package contents, and the video options we offer, are shown with each package at portal.garrettstoffel.com.
-
Yes. Our “Just Sold / Coming Soon / Reshoot a Room” service covers smaller sets of photos, such as a single room or the front or back of the home. It is available in two sizes: 3-5 photos, or 6-9 photos (front and back, or two connecting spaces). Choose your size at portal.garrettstoffel.com to see current pricing.
OUR SERVICES
-
Listing photos are clean, bright, true-to-life images that document the property efficiently, ideal for most MLS listings. Interior design (premium) photos use directional light to emphasize features and add dimension, with more deliberate attention to composition and styling. They are best for higher-end listings and properties where the design is a selling point.
-
An interactive 360-degree walkthrough captured with Zillow’s 3D Home tools and hosted on Zillow. Buyers can move through the home online, and it generates a basic floor plan automatically.
-
A higher-fidelity 3D scan captured with a Matterport camera system. It includes a “dollhouse” view, and can be embedded on your own website or shared anywhere, not just on Zillow.
-
Both let buyers explore a home remotely. A Zillow 3D Tour is hosted on Zillow, while a Matterport Tour is more detailed, shareable anywhere, and better suited to larger or higher-priced properties.
-
Our listing video is a 60-120 second video showcasing the property, with drone footage included where permitted. Twilight and narration are available as add-ons. We also offer a 3D render, a virtually rendered video of the property, which requires the enhanced floor plan upgrade. See current video options at portal.garrettstoffel.com.
-
Yes. Our twilight exterior photos are captured at dusk, with real twilight lighting and glowing windows, and are typically delivered as a set of 4-10 images.
-
Yes. A virtual twilight edit converts a daytime exterior photo into a dusk look. It works best on exteriors with good lighting. A true twilight shoot usually looks more natural.
-
Digitally adding furniture and decor to photos of an empty or sparsely furnished room, so buyers can picture how the space could be used. Staged images are labeled as such, as required by MLS rules.
-
Yes. Our Marketing Kit & Property Website generates flyers, postcards, and social media graphics directly from your listing photos, and includes a property website. Custom domains are available at checkout.
-
A top-down diagram of the home’s layout that shows how the rooms connect and their approximate dimensions. Floor plans help buyers and renters understand the flow of a home before they visit, and they pair well with listing photos. Floor plans are available as an add-on when you book. An enhanced floor plan upgrade is also available.
-
Yes. Our Rental Photos service is made for leasing listings, and is a great fit for property managers, landlords, and agents with rentals. You can select it when you book, along with add-ons like drone photos and floor plans.
PREPARING FOR YOUR SHOOT
-
A well-prepped home photographs much better. Our prep guide covers everything to do before we arrive.
-
In most cases, yes. Some properties sit in restricted airspace or no-fly zones, which limits or rules out drone photography. See our no-fly zone page for details on how this works.
