Drone Limitations Around OC

Adding drone photo and video to your listing shoot can add a TON of value and perspective, but its important to note several areas that are considered no fly zones (NFZs), have height restrictions, and understand that temporary flight restrictions (TFRs) can occur at any time without warning. This can hinder our ability to capture media on a shoot.

WHERE MOST NFZ’S ARE

• Flights in around John Wayne Airport have height limitations

• The Anaheim Convention center & Disneyland have a massive radius we can’t operate in at all

• State parks and preserves are off limits, like Huntington Beach Wetlands or Crystal Cove Park

• Los Alamitos and Long Beach have overlapping height restrictions and some parts we can’t operate at all in

EXAMPLES OF COMMON TFR’S

• The Huntington Beach Air Show restricts flights for a few days before and after the event

• Any time the president or VP are flying in there tends to be a TFR

• Wildfires

• General security concerns

• etc
